“Even more success in 2016”
1/9/16: Students and staff at Scarisbrick Hall School in Ormskirk are celebrating a record year of examination results. With an overall pass rate of 94% and 100% pass rates in 13 different GCSE subjects, staff and students are rightfully delighted. It also seems that the stunning new Science Faculty building has inspired students to achieve great heights in Science subjects with 73% A*/A across Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 100% pass rate across these Sciences.
Gregory Halliwell was one of the highest achievers with 9A* grades and two A’s. Gregory, a key member of the school’s Medical Society is continuing into the Sixth Form at Scarisbrick Hall to study for Medicine. Samuel Rigby achieved 8A* and two A grades, and has also been nominated for a national award for his achievement academically and socially. Across the whole school two thirds of the grades were at A* - B.
There was strong achievement in the Performing and Visual Arts as well as STEM subjects with 66% A*/A grades in Music and 100 pass rate in Art (which also had 50% A*/A). With changes in GCSE subjects coming into force the school is delighted that achievement has remained consistently high.
Headmaster Mr Shaw said, “We are immensely proud of all of our students and all of the hard work that they have put in. At Scarisbrick Hall School we have an exciting and vibrant curriculum that supports and develops all of the young people in our care. I am delighted that so many of them are staying into our Sixth Form and I look forward to seeing them develop over the next two years. When they commence Year 12 they will utilise the new Sixth Form build , Roberts library and sports pitches as well as the established Great Hall Lecture Series”

28/8/15: Students at Scarisbrick Hall School celebrated an excellent set of results with 97% achieving 5A*-C. and an overall pass rate of 94%. Thirteen different subjects achieved a 100% pass rate (A* -C), including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Art, Music and Statistics.

21/8/14: Students at Scarisbrick Hall are celebrating today after an excellent set of GCSE results. Despite a ‘volatile’ set of results nationally and locally, Scarisbrick Hall has maintained a consistently high standard of academic achievement.
The overall pass rate (grades A* – C) was 94% with over 40% of students receiving A*/A grades. Mr Shaw, the Headmaster, is delighted: “What is really special about these results is that they have been achieved by such a fantastic group of young people. I really do believe that high quality staff, motivated learners and an ethos that cares for each individual student, has enabled our students to reach and exceed their potential in their GCSE examinations. “
The school can also boast 100% pass rates in nine different GCSE subjects including: Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English Literature. The results top an excellent year for the school that has included a National Award for Excellence from the Independent Schools Association.
